Mentorship that accelerates women into leadership.
xEllerator matches women in STEM with mentors who can help them reach senior roles.
How a match is madeWhat a proposed match shows
Participants answer a few open questions when they join. xEllerator uses those answers to find compatible mentor and mentee pairings, and explains the reason for each one.
How a match is madeWhat HR sees
HR has its own console. From it HR invites people, runs the matching and releases each proposed match. The dashboard shows active matches, mentees still waiting for one, and how sessions and goals are going. The Equity page breaks the same figures down by group.
More about the consoleHow groups compare.
Close the gaps you can't see. The Equity page shows how every mentee group is progressing compared with your programme as a whole, so you can make targeted, data-backed decisions.
What the Equity page showsMake sponsorship visible.
As mentoring relationships deepen, mentors record the introductions, stretch opportunities and advocacy they provide, and the mentee confirms whether each one happened. Mentees can track their progress on their dashboard, and the Equity page reports sponsorship activity by group.
Who decides a match?
xEllerator proposes a match from what the two people wrote when they joined. HR reviews each proposed match and releases it, or withholds it with a logged reason. HR cannot change the ranking. The mentee decides first, then the mentor, and either can decline. A mentor who declined, or was declined, is not proposed to that mentee again. The programme team, the small team running the pilot, reads the short check-in answers and any request for help so that it can step in when a pair is struggling. It never reads a pair's session notes. Those stay with the person who wrote them.
Who can take part?
HR decides who to invite. The programme is for women in STEM, and anyone HR invites can join as a mentor or a mentee, whatever their gender. When people join they say how they identify (woman, man, non-binary, prefer to self-describe, or prefer not to say), and the Equity page groups its figures by that answer.
Does xEllerator use AI?
Yes. An AI model reads what people wrote when they joined and picks out the skills and goals in it. The app compares those by meaning and works out each pairing's score with its own fixed rules and the weights shown above. HR reviews every proposed match before anyone sees it, and the mentee and then the mentor decide whether to accept it. The model also writes the reason on each proposed match, from the facts behind its score only. Check-in answers, private notes and requests for help are never sent to the model. AI spend has a daily limit, and when the model is off or the limit is reached, the app uses word matching and written templates instead.
How often do mentors and mentees meet?
At least once a month, with short check-ins in the app between sessions. Mentors say how many mentees they will take and how many hours a month they can give, and the matching keeps within that.
Where does the data live, and who sees it?
The app and its database run on Railway, in its US East region in Virginia. All organisations share one database. Every record carries the organisation it belongs to, and HR's screens read only their own organisation's records. Your HR admin sees names. The programme team, the small team running this pilot, sees names across organisations. It also reads check-ins, answers and requests for help pair by pair. Nobody on it reads these for a pair they are in, or for the pairs in an organisation where they are HR. A group's figures are shown only if it had five people or more when they were worked out. Answers about promotions, moves and confidence are counted only when the person ticked the box that allows it. Everything between your browser and xEllerator is sent over HTTPS.
What happens after the pilot?
You get the full report and a written recommendation on next steps. Nothing renews automatically and there is no long-term commitment. You decide at the end whether to continue.
A focused pilot for up to 20 organisations.
Try xEllerator with your organisation and see the results for yourself. At the end, you receive a detailed report covering who was matched, how often pairs met, what participants said and where gaps emerged. Then you decide whether to continue, with no obligation.
